Released July 11, 2008, the iPhone 3G supports faster 3G data speeds and assisted GPS.  At first glance, the new iPhone looks almost identical to its predecessor.  The iPhone 3G feels a bit thinner and lighter than the original, thanks to its tapered sides.  It features a full plastic back to increase the strength of the GSM signal.
